On May 19, 2018 the 9th Annual Silicon Valley Latino Leadership Summit (SVLLS) brought together over 300 rising professionals and top industry leaders. The event provided an opportunity for attendees to be inspired, connect with one another and prepare them for success.
SVLLS founder Frank Carbajal thoughtfully came up with conference theme this year “Building Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace – It’s Time!” to address inclusivity and recruitment of Latino talent. The award presentations highlighted three exceptional diversity and inclusion champions; 2018 Lifetime Leadership Award honoree, Alejandra Castillo, CEO of the YWCA USA; the Visionary Leadership Award to former HP Customer Evangelist Ramon Baez and a Pioneer Leadership Award to Girls in Tech founder Adriana Gascoigne.
