In conjunction with the Lowriding season MCCLA is thrilled to present featured artists: Yolanda Lopez, Art Meza, Adolfo Arias, and Fern Balladares whose art work represent lowrider culture past and present. Join us at the opening reception to meet the artists, hear excerpts of Meza’s Lowriting book, view screening of “Why I Ride” a documentary on 80’s lowrider car scene in San Francisco, walk along the display of lowrider cars parked in front of the center, and listen to oldies by DJ Soulera. “Songs in the Key of Mexico”– a Vintage Evening of Music from South of the Border / August 1

Fiesta Hispana/ August 3

Great America’s 17th Annual Fiesta Hispana makes its way back this summer. Celebrate the Bay Area’s rich Latin-American culture with four stages of live music throughout the theme park. Special performance by Frankie J will be there. As the daylong celebration concludes, an evening concert in the park’s Redwood Amphitheatre featuring Adriel Favela, Luis Coronel, and Kevin Ortiz.
