Wild Tales: It’s all the rage!
At the 25th Annual Cinequest Film Festival February 27 through March 8
We encounter varying challenges daily and depending on our coping mechanisms, we transition smoothly through them and yet some people do not.
Wild Tales/Relatos Salvajes, a film (Spanish with English subtitles) by Director Damian Szifron, delves into six rather vindictive yet hilarious vignettes featuring cast members Liliana Ackerman, Luis Manuel Altamirano Garcia, Alejandro Angelini, Damian Benitez and Cristina Blanco.
It’s all the rage … all the rage that most of us only think about after an angering situation. You know the different scenarios we concoct in our heads after-the-fact that help comfort us just slightly? Well the audience gets a glimpse of how those actions might result when acted out.
“Over the top” as they might seem, what makes these dark tales of vengeance funny is that the audience can relate to the scenarios. Each story is riveting and well written.
In case you missed the screening of Wild Tales/Relatos salvajes on Wednesday, February 25 check with Cinequest on Saturday March 7th to see if there will be an Encore showing on Sunday, March 8th.
