Do you have some suits in your closet that don’t fit you anymore? Perhaps you are just looking to update your work look and need to make space? Now you can help another woman enter the workforce by donating any professional work attire as part of Modern Latina’s Dress for Success Drive from October 25-29, 2016
Supporting the Dress for Success program is a great reason to clean out your closets to find work attire that you no longer use to donate. Dress for Success is an international not-for-profit organization with the mission to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support, and the career development tools to help them thrive in work and in life.
Dress for Success is seeking donations for the following items:
- Matching suit (jacket/pant or skirt) (We accept all sizes)
- Interview appropriate and professional separates including blouses, slacks, skirts, blazers and jackets
- All clothing MUST be on hangers – NO BAGS, PLEASE.
- Work appropriate shoes
- Jewelry and scarves
- Handbags (briefcases, portfolios or work appropriate handbag)
- Current need: shoes sizes 9-11; suits size 16+ (we accept all sizes)
Donations can be dropped off at the following locations:
Star Cleaners (formerly Perry’s Cleaners), 1223 S Main St. Salinas CA 93901
Hours:
- Monday-Friday: 7am-7pm
- Saturday 8am-6pm
- Sunday: Closed
