Indigenous Women are Sacred
The Red Earth Women’s Society, a local group of indigenous women, has organized a week of events (May 1 – May 9, 2019) to raise awareness about missing and murdered indigenous women. Across the United States events are being held to raise awareness about this alarming rate of violence, sexual assault and death being inflicted upon Native American women and indigenous women arriving at our Southern border.

Latina Business Leaders: Diverse Pathways to Success
At the recent “Latina Business Leaders: Diverse Pathways to Success” event, a panel of local Latina leaders gathered at the Los Altos History Museum to honor the legacy of Juana Briones. Juana was a dynamic 19th century businesswoman, traditional healer and advocate. She owned many parcels of land in what is now Los Altos Hills, Palo Alto, San Jose, and San Francisco.
