Each year the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley recognizes and awards an exemplary Latino Familia that is inspirational to others, in community volunteerism and engagement. A familia that has had a tremendous impact in the community they serve. Our goal is to recognize everyday Latino families that are performing extraordinary community activities through their volunteerism. We want to identify the tireless “unsung heroes” that are committed to making our community a better place. The selected familia were honored at the Foundation’s annual gala event, the Hispanic Foundation Ball.

The 26th Annual Hispanic Foundation Ball will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at the San Jose Fairmont. The special familia will also be recognized in local media and celebrated by the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley all year long!
The first Hispanic Foundation Ball was held in 1990 to raise awareness about the issues affecting the Latino community, to promote volunteerism, celebrate philanthropic leaders, and to provide a vehicle to support nonprofit organizations serving the Hispanic community with cash grants.
