Latinas for Latino Lit (L4LL) was founded by Viviana Hurtado, Ph.D. and Monica Olivera. Taking their combined experience in education, Hispanic, and media space, their mission is to “raise literacy rates through pedagogically sound, culturally relevant content, and technology is rooted in our belief that all educational and professional achievement, as well as economic empowerment rests on the mastery of basic reading skills.”

L4LL recently released their list of twenty books for Latina girls. Here is preview of some of the books you will find on the list. Visit www.Latinas4LatinoLit.org to review the entire list.
