It has been many years since I visited Great America located in Santa Clara, California. I have so many fond memories of trips from when I was a kid. I was excited to share the experience with my daughters for their first time.
My daughters loved Planet Snoopy. Their favorite ride was Snoopy’s Space Buggies that we went on it at least six times in a row! Even grandpa joined in the fun and road the ride too!
Then we headed to the water park to cool off. The water park has so many activities that you could stay in that section the entire day. There is no additional cost to enjoy the water park.
Getting a season pass is the best value because it pays for itself in just three visits. The regular season pass costs $67.00.You will get to visit Great America for the rest of the summer and this year the park will have an extended season with the new WinterFest beginning weekends November 25 and daily December 19-23 and 26-30.
The park will be transformed into a winter wonderland where guests can ice skate in front of the iconic Carousel and enjoy the magnificent displays of lights and décor. Kids will love all the live holiday shows and see Santa’s workshop and Mrs. Claus’ kitchen, reindeer petting station, Charlie Brown’s Tree Lot and much more. Admission to WinterFest will be free for 2016 Gold and Platinum pass holders.
While visiting Great America be sure to experience the new Mass Effect™ where riders climb aboard motion-based seating and wear 3D glasses as they are taken on a thrilling adventure to a distant plant. The experience is amplified with motion seating, high tech sound and other 4D effects to create a truly compelling and immersive attraction.
We had a blast at Great America and can’t wait to go again. Of course we couldn’t leave Great America without taking a photo in front of the iconic carousal!
