Many of you lovely ladies have asked me “how do I repair my broken eyeshadow?”

So I would like to share with you a DIY method on how to repair broken eyeshadow.

There’s nothing more frustrating than when your expensive eyeshadow cracks into a million pieces and spills inside your makeup bag. With just a few easy steps you can have your favorite eyeshadow back to NEW!

First off you will need a few tools and household products:

  • shattered eyeshadow
  • coin (quarter)
  • rubbing alcohol
  • tissue
  • clean spoon
  • dropper or sprayer
  • sandwich bag or plastic wrap

Now you’re ready to get started!

  1. Place broken eyeshadow into a plastic sandwich bag or cover with plastic wrap. This is to avoid the powder from making a mess everywhere and will also keep the eyeshadow from getting contaminated with germs.
  2. Further break up the eyeshadow with the back of the spoon until all powder is broken up into a fine dust.
  3. Remove eyeshadow from the plastic bag or uncover and apply rubbing alcohol with a dropper, sprayer or pour a little into the cap. Distribute evenly over the eyeshadow.
  4. Your eyeshadow should now be a pasty consistency. Next take a tissue and place over the shadow.
  5. Now place the coin on top of the tissue pressing down firmly onto the eyeshadow.
  6. Let it dry. You’re eyeshadow is as good as new! (for best results allow to dry overnight)

Hope this DIY method helps you save your favorite eyeshadow. Enjoy!
