My girls loved the new book She’s Got This
Laurie Hernandez tells the story of Zoe, a little girl who dreams of flying—and becoming a gymnast. Laurie imparts important lessons she learned on her way to Olympic glory: You always have to get back up and try again, and you always have to believe in yourself.
I also loved all the vibrant art from Nina Mata! With her curly brown hair Zoe reminded me so much of my own two little girls with curls.
This book is one of my new favorite bedtime stories to read with my girls because it sparked so much conversation about not giving up. After reading the book, I shared videos of Laurie’s gymnastic routines from the Olympics. They were so excited to learn about Laurie and her journey.
This is a wonderful book about chasing your dreams and never giving up and will be a perfect addition for your little one’s home library collection.
