Frida Kahlo: Appearances Can Be Deceiving | March 21 – July 26, 2020
I am beyond excited to see de Young museum’s upcoming exhibit, Frida Kahlo: Appearances Can Be Deceiving. This critically acclaimed exhibition originated at the Frida Kahlo Museum in Mexico City in 2012. The exhibition reveals how Kahlo used her dress and other creative enterprises as outlets to cover but also to contend with the physical and emotional traumas that shaped her life. Mark your calendars from March 21 – July 26, 2020, so you can see this transformative exhibit and go to one of the weekly Friday Nights at the de Young series. I know I will be!
