BajaLibros.com, the largest eBook store in Spanish, presented the release of Thalia’s first children’s book with an exclusive event at the New York Public Library on November 6th. The funds raised at the event were donated to March of Dimes and Casita Maria.

“This is a very personal book. It is a story for children,” said Thalia at the event.

“This is the first book I wrote based on an experience I went through as a mother, while I was trying to make my daughter drop the pacifier. And one desperate night, at three in the morning, I told her that that pacifier needed to return to its house to be with its mother. My daughter looked at me and asked ‘Does Chupi have a mom?’ I said yes. At that moment, she handed it over to me and never asked for it again. Not only did she not ask for it again, but she also kept telling me the pacifier was with its mom. That is how I came up with the idea of writing this book and sharing it with parents and caregivers, to help kids drop the habit,” added the Mexican artist.

Thalia has conquered all the goals she set for herself and her life thanks to hard work and dedication. “I think that nothing is impossible when you want to fulfill a dream. A lot of people will tell you that you can’t do it, that you don’t have what it takes, but if it is in your heart and you feel it, there is nothing that will stop you. It is like the sun, you can’t block it: it will shine regardless, if that is what you want. You have to prepare yourself and take chances. Everything is possible. I was told millions of times that I was never going to achieve what I set out to, but I decided to do it and I did it. And here I am, with a dream that I had two and a half years ago, talking about a great adventure that is helping parents and kids when it comes to the pacifier,” she concluded.
