Watsonville Film Festival is proud to present three wonderful short films made by local young women expressing their creativity in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Please watch the CHICAS IN CINEMA films, share them with your family & friends, and participate in our virtual chat next Thursday with Directors Michele Gomez, Ebonie Piña and Angie Rockey. Nothing is more rewarding to filmmakers than sharing their films and hearing how they impact an audience.
These short films were created at the Watsonville High-Digital NEST Internship Program. They are great examples of Watsonville’s talented & creative young filmmakers!
ALONE is a mind-bending story of what happens when a girl finds herself at home alone after her family disappears.
COVID-19: THE WORLD TURNED UPSIDE DOWN documents the struggles of low-income families in Watsonville during the pandemic.
PERSONALITIES SURVIVING QUARANTINE is a comedy about the emotional rollercoaster of sheltering in place.
Filmmaker Q&A: Thu. Sept. 10th at 6pm.
