We’re looking for online marketing interns for Spring/Summer 2017!!!

We’re looking for creative, talented and ambitious interns to join the Modern Latina team this spring! Modern Latina internships offer students a flexible work schedule while gaining invaluable experience in all aspects of marketing from social media, editorial, event marketing and more. Online Marketing Intern

ModernLatina.com offers a non-paid internship for 5-10 hours per week and this internship can be applied for  class credit. This opportunity is open to college students who are studying Marketing, Public Relations, and Communications majors preferred but not required.  This internship is ideal for college students who want to gain valuable experience in marketing, publications, and journalism.  Candidate will work on all facets of the Modern Latina business from brainstorming, research, writing projects, social media and event coordination. The candidate will have the opportunity to pitch and write features on music, art, fashion, film, and current events to build their writing portfolio.


  • Curate, pitch and write 2-3 articles a week
  • Contribute to managing media lists, editorial calendar, and speaking calendars
  • Assist in public relations activities for ModernLatina.com such as press announcements, securing media and speaking opportunities
  • Assist with social media calendar and scheduling posts for social feeds
  • Assist with event marketing and coordination
  • Participate in business development/creative strategy meetings
  • Assist with other assigned tasks related to marketing


  • Strong writing skills
  • Well-versed in social media platforms
  • Basic Adobe Photoshop Skills
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, HTML and WordPress
  • Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills
