Juana Briones Summer Workshop July 9-20, 2018
This is a wonderful opportunity for high school students to learn about the life and times of Juana Briones–entrepreneur, healer, and humanitarian of Afro-mestiza heritage who lived in the Bay Area in the 1800s. The Juana Briones Summer Workshop for high school students will be held at Los Altos History Museum from July 9 to July 20, 2018. Participants will engage in historical research and apply what they learn to create installation pieces for the bilingual exhibition running October 18, 2018 through April 20, 2019. Interested students must apply for program by May 1, 2018.

Family, Homeland, Revolution: Stories of the Chicano Movement
The Mexican Museum is proud to present Family, Homeland, Revolution: Stories of the Chicano Movement; an exhibition that showcases over 40 works by Chicano artists from the Civil Rights Movement to today. Chicano art transforms and takes the shape of the community it revolves around and it continues to evolve and showcase the lives, needs, and politics of the people it represents. Exhibit Dates are April 6- June 24, 2018.
