My kids, like so many other kids, are so bored being stuck in the house. It was time to get outside and have my girls create a geometric mosaic mural. It was the perfect time to get out, enjoy the sun, fresh air, and let my girls tap into their creative side.

Raising Humanity Beyond Sheltering Safely
At the beginning of shelter in place, we found ourselves immediately overwhelmed by the responsibilities invading our homes. Under this forced arrangement, many of us continue to grapple with an enormous amount of stress as we navigate necessary conversations about race and racism in our homes. All of that while grappling with the idea that in order to keep our kids safe, we must gravitate toward the “age appropriate” sheltering of our children, even as we shelter in place.
