Recently, I had the opportunity to attend the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Silicon Valley’s new Women’s Group. In continuing with the HCCSV’s mission to develop programs to help empower the local Hispanic business community this program was launched to provide solutions to the unique challenges faced by women, structured educational springboard, mentoring solutions, and networking opportunities.
This first meet and greet session was led by speaker, author and business/communication strategist coach, Rosie “the Closer” Zepeda. During the two-hour presentation, Rosie presented the 3 Keys to Effective Business Success in an interactive presentation.
- Key #1 – Get Focused and Targeted and stop trying to do everything by yourself
- Key #2 – Have a market strategy that is tied to the end result you want
- Key #3 – Start feeling comfortable with sales strategy and selling yourself. Have a plan!
The information presented was very helpful and practical but I think was most memorable part about the meeting was the atmosphere in the room. The room was a safe haven for all members to share their personal challenges and reasons that brought them together at this business group. All the women were there to support one another and share their personal and professional experiences.
The group is open to all women business owners, entrepreneurs, leaders and professionals. To find out more about this women’s group and how it can add to your success, check out the next meeting beginning in 2014 every first Tuesday evening from 6:30-8:30 at the Chamber Office @ 100 E Santa Clara Street.
