I just picked up the new Scotch-Brite® Scrubbing Dish Cloth. This dish cloth packs a powerful punch providing tough cleaning power with the scrubbing dots technology along with the drying function. I tried and tested the Scotch-Brite® Scrubbing Dish Cloth cleaning up after my family’s favorite dish, baked lasagna. It worked wonders to get the baked on cheese off the pan. I am always looking for ways to incorporate green living in my life so I especially love the fact that the dish cloth is fully washable, reusable and sturdy.

You can find these dish cloths in the cleaning product section at your local Walmart. The dish cloths are available in 2 packs in tan, coral, and navy for only $4.98. I loved the coral color as a little pop of color for the kitchen. Plus, right now you can get $1 off with the instant redeemable coupon available on the product.

Ingredients

  • No-boil lasagna noodles
  • 1 jar marinara sauce
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Pinch of pepper and Italian seasoning
  • ½ onion

Directions:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Cut half an onion into large slices
  3. Add olive oil to the pan to cook onions and turkey meat over medium heat. Add a pinch pepper and Italian seasoning to taste. Drain fat from the pan.
  4. In same pan, mix in the entire jar of marinara sauce into the turkey meat.
  5. Spray non-stick baking spray to an 8×11 baking pan.
  6. Add a bit of sauce to the bottom of the pan and then begin the layering steps. First add the noodles, then meat sauce and sprinkle cheese. Continue to do this until the pan is filled (typically 3 layers). Do not add cheese to the top layer.
  7. Cover the lasagna with foil and cook for 60 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil from the lasagna and add the last layer of cheese to top. Proceed to cook for addition 10 minutes.
  9. Let the lasagna stand for about 10 minutes to cool prior to serving.

Organizing Under the Kitchen

I live in a small space so I make the most out of every cubic foot of storage available. Over the years the area under my kitchen sink became a catch all for so many things from cleaning products to doggie bowls. It was time to do a deep clean and organize the space so that it was functional.

1) Remove all items in the cabinet to clean the floor and start with a clean slate.

2) Go through the items and sort into a toss and keep pile. There may be some items that you end up storing in a different area.

3) Organize the items in a functional manner to store back under the sink.
