National Small Business Week 2026 Latina Entrepreneur Spotlights

by | May 7, 2026 | College & Career

This week, we are celebrating National Small Business Week 2026, where Latina entrepreneurs are making a significant impact and leading the way in the business world. The stats are clear: Latinas are starting businesses at a rapid pace, exceeding the national average for all women-owned businesses. These Latina-owned businesses are not only driving economic growth but also contributing to job creation. While the presence of Latina entrepreneurs in the small business sector continues to grow, there are notable challenges they face. Last week’s #LatinaGeeks Silicon Valley Chapter “Building Wealth as a Latina Entrepreneur” event provided a space to discuss resilience and share insights into the diverse pathways to entrepreneurial success.

The event, moderated by Diana Pacheco, Chief Development Officer of Conectado, featured panelists who shared their inspiring stories, challenges overcome, and the innovative spirit that propels Latina entrepreneurs to the forefront of the business landscape. One key takeaway was the unanimous acknowledgment that entrepreneurship offers Latinas the freedom of choice, agency, and a strong support network among their peers. The panelists highlighted the long-term commitment and mutual support that define Latina entrepreneurs, leaving attendees feeling empowered and enthusiastic about their own journeys.
